Dan finally gave me some space where I can share my random thoughts with you. So in this space I will share security alerts opinions, great inexpensive ways to implement security, the latest security gossip, etc.
4/18/2004 - Microsoft Security Alert MS04-011
This patch should be called "The Best Of Microsoft Buffer Overflows". They bundled all the important new and old buffer overflows into one big release. Vulnerabilities important to you would be ones where you get HTML email, either through Outlook Express, Outlook, or web-based email like Hotmail. Or on unprotected laptops in the field. Or your employees are browsing "interesting" web sites. I highly recommend you patch your machines.
